The Child Contact Centre is a safe, friendly, neutral place
where children can spend time with a parent or relative they might not otherwise
see. Visits are by referral from a solicitor, a CAFCASS officer, a family mediator,
or a social worker. There is no charge for the centre, but donations are always
welcome.
The most important people in the centre are the children. In order to give the visiting
parent or relative time with the child, we encourage the parent with whom the child
lives to leave the centre during the session.
The centre is run by trained volunteers and has a strict confidentiality policy.
We do not make verbal or written reports about visits. The only exception to this
is if we believe that a child, volunteer worker, or centre user is at risk of harm.
